Meet Your Instructor
"My goal isn't simply to teach students how to become dental assistants—it's to help them become the kind of assistant that doctors are excited to hire."
McKayli Collier
Founder & Lead Instructor
McKayli Collier founded Atlanta Dental Assisting Institute with one mission: to prepare confident, professional, and career-ready dental assistants through hands-on, modern education.
With nearly a decade of experience as a dental assistant, McKayli has worked across multiple specialties, including general dentistry, oral surgery, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, cosmetic dentistry, facial aesthetics, IV sedation, and digital dentistry. Throughout her career, she has assisted with everything from crowns and fillings to Invisalign treatment, full-arch implant cases, digital scanning, and cosmetic procedures.
Teaching quickly became one of McKayli's greatest passions. Just two years into her dental assisting career, she began teaching in a dental assisting program while also mentoring and training new assistants in private practice. Since then, she has trained and mentored approximately 100 dental assistants and students, many of whom have gone on to become lead assistants, office managers, treatment coordinators, and other successful dental professionals.
After years of hearing dentists say that her greatest strength was developing and training assistants, McKayli decided to turn that passion into a full-time career by creating Atlanta Dental Assisting Institute.
She believes today's students deserve more than a rushed curriculum and minimal hands-on experience. ADAI was intentionally designed as a 16-week semester program that allows students the time to truly learn, practice, ask questions, and develop confidence before entering the workforce. By combining modern dentistry, digital technology, clinical repetition, and professionalism, students graduate prepared to adapt to a variety of dental offices and continue growing throughout their careers.
As an instructor, McKayli believes that confidence comes through preparation. She creates an environment where students are encouraged to ask questions, challenge themselves, and master skills through repetition while being held to the same professional standards expected in today's dental offices.
